Marc Bolle, Britta Flender, Ulrike Gotta, Matthias Hahn, Matthias Hunkel, Jenny Löhr and Anna Seufert ran together with thousands of like-minded people a distance of 5.6 km through the city centre of Frankfurt. They were supported by a group of colleagues, who cheered them on and welcomed them with cool drinks at the finishing line.
The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge took place for the 23rd time in the bank metropolis on the 17th of June 2015. With 70,239 runners from 2682 companies from 400 different towns it is considered one of the biggest running competitions in the world and the biggest running event in Europe. This year Germany’s federal minister of the interior, Thomas de Maiziere, took over the patronage for the race.
Hessian’s Prime Minister Volker Bouffier and skating Olympic champion Katerina Witt started the race. Running together and actively living the team spirit is the idea as well as achieving something good: the company run which was launched in 1993 is also a very successful charity event. Like in previous years projects for disabled people will benefit from he donation amount of 250,000 euros.
